fda thinking on the uniformity of hplc and gc qualification

this is an extract from an fda inspection showing unified qualification sop's as a requirement; "... the firm did not provide any SOP for the performance verification of the HPLC and GC systems. Actually they are contracting services for the verification of these systems and then they are adopting contractor's SOP. I observed that the firm contracted different organization and it depend on the instrument brand or manufacturer... Each of them has a different SOP, which includes different kinds of test which do not compare... The firm should establish a procedure to ensure uniformity providing specific directions and requirements for GC systems. Also, it will apply to HPLC systems."
