v-kit Distributor News - July 2007

Welcome to the first v-kit Distributor News. From now on we will be publishing news and product updates targeted only at distributors via this newsletter.

I hope that you find it useful.

Apologies if you have already received this newsletter - we have had some technical issues with a new piece of software.

New v-kit releases
 
Major new versions of HPLC v-kit and GC v-kit are currently in beta-test.
 
Features of the new releases:
 
Traceability 
  • Procedures (SOPs) and Traceability (CofAs) integrated into the software
  • Fields to enter instrument Location and Procedure Reference for each test added
  • Field to enter user Comments for each test added
Quality 
  • Procedures split into General and Test Specific
  • Raw data and results number formats improved
  • Report formats updated
Efficiency 
  • USB-keys replace data disc CD-ROMs
  • GC v-kit user interface aligned with HPLC version
  • New injection based HPLC UV linearity test added
  • New Pressure GC Accuracy/Tightness and GC Linearity/Precision tests added

Further details: 

  • Release is planned for September 2007
  • Version numbers will be HPLC v-kit 3.0, GC v-kit 3.0
  • Upon release v-kit 3.0 will replace all exiting versions with immediate effect
  • Software updates to version 3.0 will be available free-of-charge
  • Promotional pack will be available prior to release
v-kit Distributor meeting
 
To coincide with the release a v-kit 3.0, NLG Analytical are hosting a 2-day v-kit distributor meeting at our new facility in the UK.
 
The meeting is planned for early October 2007 and the agenda will include:
  1. v-kit 3.0 introduction
  2. Training on new 3.0 features
  3. Open discussion forum

We will also offer addition training sessions (instrument specific maintenance training, additional v-kit training) in the days immediately after the distributor meeting.
